Tree Removal Services

As with pruning, trees can present serious potential hazards to targets below. Removal work can be complex, dangerous, and hazardous to all.

Unfortunately, removals are often necessary due to damaging a foundation, problems with underground electrical, gas, water, or sewer lines, tree may pose a serious degree of lean, or other illnesses, storm damage or death. Aerial lifts (when accessible) enable the job to be performed in a safer manner.

It is critical to protect personal property and life when performing this work. Trees may need to be removed due to the safety concerns, i.e. hazard they pose to life and property, disease issues, or existing/potential damage to personal property.

Removals can also be performed by grinding the tree stumps below grade. However, this depends upon the location and size of stumps to be removed.

I had a little trouble connecting with Tree Preservation at first… David was on vacation… but he came out in July or August and gave me a bid, charging less because of the difficulty connecting. Later we scheduled the work for the first week in December. We confirmed again as the time drew near… and his crew came out as expected and did the work. It was a good crew… I was happy with the way they pruned trees and it was easy to talk to the crew leader (spoke good English and was a good communicator). David came out at the beginning and end of the job and we went over details. It’s clear the company knows trees and also knows the aesthetics of good pruning. I will be happy to have them return in future years.

The team was clean, quick, professional, and very respectful of my garden, which they worked in and around without damaging at all. David and I planned job beforehand, and his team used a cherry picker to remove cuttings directly to street area, so that nothing fell to crush the garden. We plan to call them soon to work on our very tall grevallias.

David Sims and his team pruned a huge, overgrown yucca that most tree professionals do not want to work on, and a tall princess palm, and also pruned a dying old olive tree that we hope to resurrect.

I really liked David; he seems very honest and like he really cared about trees. I wanted him to prune another orange tree and, rather than taking my money, he said he didn’t like to prune trees in flower and that he could do it in the fall if I wanted. I appreciated his care for my trees. His estimations were a little spotty: $180 to trim an entire palm and then $270 to remove 20 fronds from another, which didn’t make a whole lot of sense. But he was willing to work with us when I told him another estimate I had received. The best was that he left us tons of free mulch from a job he had done the previous day. I have used that mulch all over my garden and yard and everything is growing great with it. Anyway, I’d definitely recommend Tree Preservation and will definitely use them in the future.

David was really nice explaining how the crew would preserve the shape of the trees and cut the overgrowth. The crew was wonderful. They did such a great job shaping my overgrown trees to become healthy beautiful trees that no longer needed to be supported by 2×4’s to hold up the branches. My trees now look like the trees in garden books. BEAUTIFUL!
